Tester la conformité du port USB

De plus en plus de périphériques utilisent aujourd’hui le port USB pour fonctionner. Apparu assez récemment sur le marché (environ 3 à 4 ans) le port USB permet de raccorder des périphériques (scanners, imprimantes…) à votre PC. Quel est son avantage ? Il est beaucoup plus rapide que les ports séries et parallèles traditionnels et permet de brancher des périphériques sur votre ordinateur sans le redémarrer (ce qui n’était pas le cas avant). Aujourd’hui, tous les PC vendus disposent d’au moins 2 ports USB, mais il peut arriver que des problèmes surgissent parfois sans que l’on sache pourquoi et qui empêchent le fonctionnement du port. La société Intel a donc développé un programme qui permet de tester et de vérifier si votre ordinateur est bien configuré pour recevoir des périphériques USB. Ce programme gratuit est téléchargeable à l’adresse suivante: http://www.usb.org/shopping_bag.html.
La procédure de test Connectez-vous donc à l’adresse ci-dessus, en prenant soin de télécharger le programme USBREADY.EXE (sa taille est de 533 ko). Une fois téléchargé, cliquez deux fois dessus pour le lancer et cliquez sur Oui à la fenêtre qui s’ouvre. Le test est alors lancé et les résultats s’affichent rapidement. Vous voyez alors si votre système est oui ou non bien configuré. Pour avoir des détails sur ce test, cliquez sur le bouton Détails.
